Elisabetta Franchi: story of a woman who dreamed of fashion at the age of 6
From the Bolognese markets to the high fashion shows, this is how the "Elisabetta Franchi" brand has transformed itself into an international brand.
“Making the dreams of a little girl who has always seen her world and her truest essence come true in fashion”, this phrase written in Elisabetta Franchi 's online biography would be enough to understand who the designer is. Someone who certainly dreamed big since she was a child and who managed to conquer women thanks to her enormous passion, careful study of the product combined with a good dose of concreteness.
Elisabetta Franchi was born in #Bologna in 1968 into a family where the mother raised 5 children alone. And it is precisely her father's absence that gives her strength and determination. A spirit of revenge that will not make her stop in the face of any difficulty in life. She studies hard and supports herself with even occasional jobs such as a sales assistant, an occupation that teaches her to pay attention to the tastes of her customers too. In 1996 the designer inaugurated her first atelier : a small laboratory where she began to shape her garments with only 5 collaborators. Today there are 300.
#Celynb . was born in 1998, a pseudonym that recalls Parisian elegance and in which the letter "b" stands for Betta, the designer's diminutive. In 2006 she bought an old disused pharmaceutical company which within 2 years became the headquarters of the maison : 6 thousand square meters immersed in the Bolognese countryside and which also reflect Franchi's love for architecture and design. Since 2012 Elisabetta Franchi has begun to sign her creations by launching the brand of the same name. And in 2013 the first management show opened in Milan.
Elisabetta Franchi: consolidation and evolution of the brand
Within a decade, the Elisabetta Franchi brand achieved staggering turnover thanks to pervasive distribution throughout the world with over 1100 multi-brand and 80 single-brand boutiques in the most iconic cities on the planet: Rome, Milan, Paris, Moscow, Madrid. The rapid rise allows the brand to make use of 11 press offices around the planet, creating a real marketing and communication strategy. Over time it has dressed characters of the caliber of Angelina Jolie, Jennifer Lopez, Lady Gaga. The fashion house also deserves to be mentioned for the elimination of animal fur from its production. In fact, since 2014 it has joined the Animal Free program promoted by the anti-vivisection league (LAV).
Last but not least , the love for animals pushes Franchi to start a #doghospitality program for its employees. In short, a stubborn personality that is rewarded every day by the esteem of women as can be understood from the messages on social media: <<Beautiful, one day I too will buy a dress designed by Elisabetta Franchi>>.
